Welcome to the Hilary Thorpe website

I am an artist living in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. I paint primarily, but I am trained as a weaver. I paint in acrylics, and I specialise in marine subjects but also enjoy landscapes. All my work is painted on location.

I hope the site will inform you about me and my work. Much of the work you see on the site is for sale. You can see my paintings mainly at my exhibitions and a few select galleries, though I welcome visitors to my home in Cowes by arrangement. Read the newsletter to keep up to date on my activities!
