PAINTINGS

We are the proud owners of a print of Hilary’s sketchbook paintings: ‘A trip through New York on Gulliver of Southampton.’ It is great – we love its colours, fomat, writing, sense of presence and adventure in a captured place and time.

The paintings arrived this morning and they are just perfect. Thank you very much.

Your work is that of a true artist, one which evolves. I can’t actually USE the tea towel because I love what you have done in combining practical use with factual depictions and artistic expression! Thank you for the beautiful experiences of The Solent and environs. This tea towel shares another world with me.

The sketch of Wibury is wonderful.  It is exactly as I had envisaged and hopefully it will enhance other organisations’ perceptions of Wibury in general and the WI in particular.  Many thanks for your time and effort and you have certainly made one pensioner very happy (that’s me),

WORKSHOPS

Thoroughly enjoyed our day out the other week, and have to say that you have altered my way of looking at things, do like just taking small areas of interesting angles etc.  Have even been out sketching by myself! It is not so daunting as attempting a full scene.  So thanks.
Sue Taylor, East Cowes

Hilary’s visit to our art group was both entertaining and informative. She demonstrated her distinctive style of painting in a relaxed manner giving us generous tips on materials and techniques.

Jill Roe, Cowes

Thanks for such a good workshop on Friday, well planned and very enjoyable

Jane Moore, Yarmouth

May I say a big thank you for giving your time yesterday, the children thoroughly enjoyed the day and found it to be a very valuable experience. The event yesterday was a new venture for the school and we hope to bring businesses into our school more frequently to support the work we do.
